Please join eCareDiary on Tuesday, October 4 at 2 PM EST as Director of Events, Polly Whitehorn speaks to Lori Smetanka, Director of the National Long Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center and Beverley Laubert, author and Immediate Past President of the National Association of State Long Term Care Ombudsman Programs.

Beverley is co-author of “Safety, Self-Determination, and Choice in Long-Term Care: The Consumer and Ombudsman Experience” for the Ethics, Law, and Aging Review. She is also the Immediate Past-President of the National Association of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Programs, and is on the Leadership Council of the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care.

Lori is the Director of the National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center which is Funded by the Administration on Aging. The Center, which is housed at the National Citizens’ Coalition for Nursing Home Reform (NCCNHR), provides support, technical assistance, training and research for state and local long-term care ombudsman programs, which serve residents of long-term care.
