This week on the Empowerment Hour Online University we welcome to our program Almitra Gasper representing the organization Occupy the Hood (http://www.officialoccupythehood.org).  This organization, Occupy The Hood is an autonomous national grassroots movement started by Malik, Ife, Preach & Radee and comprised of activists, organizers and community members working with like-minded individuals and organizations across the US and standing in solidarity with any progressive organization or movement who desires and works towards the liberation, benefit and improvement of the quality of life of

disenfranchised People of Color.

Almitra Gasper has produced hundreds of hours of content for radio and TV.  She is an entrepreneur having owned "Music On Myrtle", a music and book retail store in Brooklyn, NY.  Ms. Gasper currently co-hosts Occupy The Hood Radio.
