Part 2: Senate Moves Ahead with Gun Bill, Kills Filibuster Effort
The Senate has moved forward with a bill to expand background checks for gun buyers with 68 senators voted for cloture, eliminating threats of filibuster. The compromise bill focuses on background checks and does not contain any other restrictions such as limiting magazine clip sizes or banning assault weapons characteristics.
