Training for Spiritual Warfare  Before a Christian can go into the depths of spiritual warfare, he or she should be trained. We fight in a war which is already won when Jesus burst from a sealed tomb!  The battle is the Lord’s. “I saw Satan fall like lightening from Heaven,” Lk. 10:16. Eph, 6, pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests Paul was a front-line warrior. He was mindful of his need for the intercessors of the church to pray for him. He pleaded, “Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should,” Eph. 16:19. Spiritual self-importance is very dangerous. Jesus must always remain at the center and purpose of our battles. It is His power to us that believe. If we go into spiritual warfare and expect to have God’s power without the quality of being modest or respectful that we are just instruments in the hands of Jesus then we are in trouble and have open doors for Satan to attack us because of Pride. Paul said to the Corinthians, “I was with you in weakness, in fear and trembling,” denoting that it was not his strength that he was operating with but that of Jesus. I Cor. 2:3. He was strong by the power of Jesus. “When I am weak, then I am strong,” II Cor. 12:10, his flesh was weak but his spirit was willing to serve Jesus made him strong, His strength came because he knew by his spirit that he would live forever by the Spirit of Jesus. Paul was one of the most powerful spiritual warriors in the N T.His spiritual anointing caused the satanic, the Great Diana Goddess of the Ephesians to tremble in that controlled territory!
