This week discussion will center on the personality of Dr Charles Mbire Magezi of Uganda. His horizontal and vertical integration of hodgepodge of businesses using deft situational leadership style will be synthesized. Vertically, his insatiable appetite for continuous business acquisitions has led him into the energy sector, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness and transportation. Horizontally, in the finance sector, his acquisition of Ecobank and vast real estate holdings and with MTN telecommunications as the bridge to the technological sectors of his businesses, and thus has made him one of the richest in Uganda. All in all, using deft situational leadership approach, he integrated PESTLE, SWOT analysis, and the collation of important data from huge datasets to make pertinent strategic decisions in his business acquisitions. As a global good corporate citizen, he has contributed towards the social-economic development of Uganda peasantry based economy to that of much self- sustaining and prosperous economy in the Great Lakes Region
