We live in a time whereby "peaceful co-existence" between the intellectual "elites" and the ignorant & undereducated is becoming less and less likely. There is a cultural war between the HIGH MINDED & SIMPLE MINDED amongst us and the fallout of this war is evident all around us.

The appeal of Sarah Palin and lil Wayne by their respective fan base shows the wide appeal for simple minded individuals by many within the mainstream of American life.

Much of the appeal stems from the promotion of SEX & MONEY as the means to attract attention to simple messages with little meaning or substance for those who consume it. CAN A CIVILIZATION CONTINUE TO FUNCTION in a vacuum of intellegence, integrity and character amongst a large number of its population?
