Lori Brown-Wirth retired in 2018 from the University of Wyoming to write her memoirs.

Lori had her 2-year old son stolen and taken to Iran during the infamous Iranian hostage crisis in 1980, and later worked with Nicaraguan refugees in Costa Rica.

At a later point of despair in her life, she turned to drugs and alcohol for solace. She soon discovered recovery, and went on to fulfill lifelong goals, work with teenagers helping them to prepare for college, and eventually aid in the return of her long-lost son.

The book details these events and discusses her journey from a shy, insecure young girl in an abusive relationship, to the strong, confident, and caring woman she is today. Due to allegations of abuse in the book, she wrote her autobiography, Papas With Ponytails, under the pen name Alexandra Flowers.

She will share her story and tell us what prompted her to write her autobiography. Also how did she cope with the loss of her child and so much more so be sure and tune in.
