Jason has had the great fortune to have had an islet celltransplant though the world famous JDRF funded Edmonton Protocol, and is stillinsulin free after 7 years. A life ofwildly fluctuating sugars and frequent complications has stopped thanks toresearch and a team of dedicated researchers.
He has been an invited speaker at several JDRF symposiums,and most recently at the International Diabetes Federation world diabetesconference in Dubai, where he presented to people from all over the world.
Jason is an ambassador for living healthy and active with diabetes, and never turns down an opportunity to connect with others living with Type 1 and their families.
He is an inspiration to all who know his story, and an important symbol that we are headed in the right direction.
