Former senior Deputy Commissioner of Police and Commandant of Kenya Police Training College Bernard Kimeli was on Wednesday found dead in his house.Kimeli was found dead in his sitting room at his house in Westlands Wednesday morning with stab wounds to the chest.The killers did not steal the retired officer’s gun, which was found a few yards from where he lay dead.Kimeli was a Senior Deputy Commissioner of Police at the time of his retirement in March 2008.Kimeli, 58, was alone in the house when he was attacked on Tuesday night. His son had retired to the servant’s quarters.The motive of the murder is yet to be known, but several documents were stolen from the house. Several drawers had been ransacked and some documents scattered in the bedroom and sitting room.
