President Kibaki will this morning lead Kenyans in celebrating the 47th Madaraka Day. Kibaki is expected at the Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi, at 10.55am. The day commemorates when Kenya attained internal self-rule. The country later attained full independence on December 12, 1963. Kalonzo and House Speaker Kenneth Marende are expected to accompany Kibaki. Prime Minister Raila Odinga is on official trip to France. As the country marks the day, focus turns to the achievements made since 1963. It is likely that speakers will touch on the need for a new constitution. At National Prayer Breakfast last week, Kibaki told the nation this is the time to get a new law after more than two decades of elusive search. Thanks to all kenyans who showed up for the memorial weekend in Dallas Texas...I love you all and lets keep doing what we do best.East Africa Radio USA for life.....
