Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, Certified Transformational Habits of Health Coach, Nurse, Fitness Trainer, Educator, Blogtalk host and best selling author.

Definition of commit: bring together, join, entrust, do (actions)

What do these actions include? Respect, Love, Understanding, Appreciation, Keeping the Promise

How do these actions affect your life and the life of the people around you?

Story of Respect: "Daddy coming home" pp 67-68 The DASH Making a difference with your life by Linda Ellis and Mac Anderson

Story of "Do More Than Is Expected, pp 14 - 17 No Glass Ceiling, Just Blue Sky, A Women's Guide to Building Great Teams by Marcy Blochowiak

What are these two stories telling us? When you commit, you do more than just the minimum, you go above and beyond. Nothing stops you, do it anyway. Think past your nose, envision an amazing future.

Exercise: Close your eyes, take a deep slow breath, relax and now envision yourself 1, 5, 10, 20 years from now. What do you see when you do not let anyone talk you out of doing something you want to do? When you see yourself clearly in a sharp, colorful picture, what stands out? Are you making a difference in your life or other peoples' lives? Are you happy, healthy, fulfilled?

Commitment does not stand alone. It includes Consistency, Creativity, Challenge, Choice, Credibility, Trust, Love, Respect, Health, Do it Anyway even when you don't feel like it, are sick or just want to take a break.

It's a daily activity without fail to move forward. No more excuses, make them into reasons. What is your WHY that makes you being commited to a better outcome? #healthybody, #healthymind, #healthyfinances, #healthylifestyle

Breaking a commitment can hurt yourself or someone else. Build relationships, not tear down.
