There was a time in the USA when blacks were forbidden to learn how to read. There is a very disparaging phrase: “If you want to keep a secret from a black man – put it in a book because blacks do not read.” Today the USA is ranked #19 in world literacy with 1 in 7 American adults who are illiterate. Reading is powerful, changes lives and expands the imagination. Please join me and my guest John T. Wills, host of ‘Thought Provoking Perspective’ as we discuss literacy and African Americans. Mr. Wills is the author of his own book: “Just a Season.” Get ready to be EMPOWERED!
