Patients, families, and healthcare professionals have come to rely on Viki Kind’s practical approach to dealing with challenging healthcare dilemmas. She's a renowned lecturer, a clinical bioethicist, medical educator and hospice volunteer. She is inspiring healthcare professionals throughout the US to have integrity and compassion, and teaches them techniques to improve communication about end-of-life care. She is the co-creator of the nationally distributed DVD, “The Trusted Advisor: Relate, Respect and Respond,” which focuses on improving the senior patient’s medical experience. Viki has also been a caregiver for many in her family. Tune in to hear Viki’s recommendations on how best to navigate in end-of-life decision making with empathy, compassion and kindness by changing the perception of death from fear into something profound and meaningful. When people have an understanding that each of us has an expiration date, people will hopefully become more respectful in the choices they make and be more compassionate toward others. Call: 347- 935-5853 to listen or comment.
