Born June 23, 1963, this Milwaukee, Wisconsin native is no stranger to gospel music! Angela Collins (a.k.a. Princess Anji) attended North Division and St. Joan Antida High Schools in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was at St. Joan Antida HS where she discovered her true love for theatrical arts and music. While there, she vigorously pursued drama classes and, later, went on to win first place in Milwaukee’s Summer fest! As time progressed, she released “Since I turned Sixteen” Blues cut, toured with Tenderness, and appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel Christmas Celebration. Anji was the opening act for the late Johnnie Taylor in the 80′s and later opened for the late Bishop Walter Hawkins & Lashaun Pace at the Alabama A& M University. It is reported that “you could hear a pin drop” as she performed The Lord’s Prayer.Anji’sdebut CD “Learninig” was released in 2008 and quicklyestablished her as a rising Gospel great! KELVIN YOUNG :
