Jesus Reveals the Laws of Supreme Blessing, Part 12

TEXT: Matthew 5:1-12

As we close out this series on the laws of supreme blessing based on Jesus' beatitudes, we are going to look at the type of attitude a Christian should have as he lives according to the principles contained in these laws. These are not principles endorsed or applauded by the world. In fact, you may be shunned and ridiculed for living in this manner. But Jesus promises a life of supreme blessing for those who are poor (or humble) in spirit, those who mourn over sin (especially their sin), those who are meek, those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, those who are merciful, those who are pure in heart, those who are peacemakers, and those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake.
