1. According to AFP (Agence France-Presse), thousands of North Korean propaganda leaflets fell Monday on a frontline South Korean island, warning of an attack on soldiers stationed there. 

2. According to the Russian International News Agency, Russia confirmed on Monday that it had deployed tactical ballistic missiles near its borders with NATO but said the move did not violate international agreements.
