Digimon vs. Pokemon

Now just because both these names have mon at the end means that they must meet at some point and be talked about right ? Truth be told, there's nothing that connects these two, other then the mon part. But it is interesting to talk about in terms of there media, as both have there strong & weak points. But when you come right down to it, with all of the cards, films, tv shows, and bad cereal. Which one has the substance and who ends up with the style.
