Till Now

We all can see and understant; there must be union before communion, betrothal before possession, a oneness of the soul and spirit, before abiding within the Living Christ, or He in us. It is the Spirit that quickens us to feel our need of him; to seek our life, in Him; and then, from and through Him; to come to know Him; to believe Him; to trust Him; and live a life of faith upon Him. By his discrete teachings; His soft whispers and touches, and glimpses of His glory, in the midst of our need, and sufferings, He draws the heart up to Throne of Grace, to remind us of who we are; and who He is. He thus wins, not only the eternal love of His betrothed; but the earthly love as well; setting Himself within our hearts and before our eyes as "the chief among ten thousand and altogether lovely." Here, He draws out that love and affection towards himself which lifts us above the the threats, the temptations, and the fears of the world; and puts all things under our feet. He is now, our Light to see; and without Him all would be darkness; He is our life, when death without Him is all around us; He is the beginner and finisher of our faith, the substance of our hope, and the object of our love. He is, not only the Groom, for whom we all wait; He is the beloved, whom we know, and recognize, instantly.

Do you remember,
My friend;
The infancy
Of this sublime,
And Celestial
Greatness?

Those simple,
Innocent apprehensions;
Inexpressibly rare,
And delightful,
That we shared
From the beginning?

And that Divine Light
Wherein we were
Birthed; and bathed?
We could see,
The Living Wonder
Of all creation.

By the gift of God;
They attend
To us still;
By His favor,
We remember them
Till now.
