What is the all the hoopla of using coupons for groceries

what real impact can grocery couponing have on your monthly budget. Can anyone be successful at grocery couponing. I used grocery coupons for 15 years claiming to be an avid couponer. Unfortunately, my weekly savings were limited to less than $5.00 per week. I thought I was saving alot of money. I refused any instruction because I knew it all!!! When gas prices were greater than $4/gallon and consumer prices were spiraling out of control, I was spiraling around the drain trying to figure out how I could stay afloat. Grocery couponing saved the day. I was able to feed myself and my family for pennies on the dollar leaving money available to go to other expenses. I was so excited about my accomplishment, I wanted to share it with others. Truly, I am a registered nurse and I want to help.
