This Saturday, we continue our exploration of a continental nation on a "not far-distant planet" in our local system of inhabited worlds.

Beginning Part 2 of our study, we marveled at this extraordinary and unusual presentation in the Urantia Revelation. We have been eager to explore the many similarities and difference between that world and ours.

We read about the home life of the families on this world and about their educational system, in sections 3 and 4. These sections go into wonderful detail about the practical ways that this government on a neighboring planet exalts and fortifies family life and ensures a splendid education for young people.

Here are some samples of what we read last week:

"These people regard the home as the basic institution of their civilization. It is expected that the most valuable part of a child's education and character training will be secured from his parents and at home, and fathers devote almost as much attention to child culture as do mothers"

"There are no classrooms, only one study is pursued at a time, and after the first three years all pupils become assistant teachers, instructing those below them."

"Everyone takes one month's vacation each year. The precollege schools are conducted for nine months out of the year of ten, the vacation being spent with parents or friends in travel."

We are aware that there were some technical issues last week, and we apologize those who couldn't log on to hear the show or had difficulty logging on. These types of issues seem to be the nature of internet technology and fortunately, in the 8+ years we have done the show, this has only happened a couple of times.

We hope you can join us this week as we continue our lively exploration of Urantia Paper 72. Please give us a call to share your thoughts and view on the remarkable presentations in this paper. Thanks!
