This week's Cosmic Citizen show will be of special interest to students of the Urantia Book because it is on the topic of starting a religion based on the Urantia Book. Do we need a new Urantia Religion? Urantia book readers who do not belong to other religious organizations have no where to go for ministry and help when it's needed. Some say a religion based on the Urantia Book is inevitable. Some pray that will never happen. Where do you stand?

To discuss this topic we have invited Behz Sarmast (link to bio) and Dick Bain (link to bio) to share their thoughts and experiences with us. Both have spent considerable time working on a socialized religion with their primary inspiration being the Urantia Book.

Behz is a return guest who has recently led a group through the formation of Urantia Book International Ministries or UBIM, www.UBIM.org. UBIM has painstakingly created a superb rendition of Urantian tenets and philosophy.

Dick Bain is new to our show but has been intricately involved in the formation of The Spiritual Fellowship, a Urantian religion he helped to create with Dr. Meredith Sprunger.

Can the Urantia revelation uplift the existing religions? Should Urantia Book believers make some part of our movement accessible to personal ministry for each other? Shall we worship together as a group? Will we always relegate our life milestones (marriages, births and deaths) to be officiated by some other religion?

We know there are strong feelings on this subject and we'd love to hear them. We invite you to call in and share your opinions, comments and thoughts. Don't be shy!
