David Parrish, Jr. knows quite a bit about the world of fatherhood. David's first marriage broke down when the oldest of his sons was 3 years-old--the same age David had been when his own father left his mother. Throughout his life, David has been a stepson as well as an uncle and surrogate father himself, formally and informally, to many children whose lives have become intertwined with his own. Today, David finds himself the "odd man out": Remarried with a 1-year-old son, while his two older sons live primarily with their mother and stepfather in a different state. He joins us to talk about staying connected while distance co-parenting.
