On this weeks Critical Conversations we talk with Dr. Jim Picht, senior political editor and an expert on Ukraine and Russia and ask if we are entering into "Obama's Cold War." Even if you lived through any portion of the Cold War (1946-1991) you might not understand the media's question "Are we entering Obama's Cold War? a term that most often refers to post-war tensions between the US and the Soviet Union following World War II.  Coincidentally, it was during the Cold War, on Septembe 1, 1983, that the Soviet Union shot down Korean Air Lines Flight 007, a Boeing 737 with 269 people aboard, incluidng a sitting congressman, when it violated Soviet airspace.

Also on the show will be guest host Bob Siegel, Communities Writer (Forbidden Table Talk) and radio host on KCBQ 1170, San Diego. Bob will be speaking with Dr. Richard A. Nixon, a practicing attorney in Califorina, Viet Nam vet and author of the controversial book "America, An Illusion of Freedom."

Writers are often recognized for their work and Communities writer Joseph Cotto (The Conscience of a Realist) a nationally syndicated writer that has been recognized by King Kigeli V, Rwanda, for his series on the king who is living in exile in Virginia. Joseph can now claim rights to the title of His Excellency, a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Crested Crane for his servie to the Kingdom of Rwanda and of the Royal House of Nyinginya.

Dr. Picht returns to the studio to talk to Joseph about Rwanda, King Kigeli V and the present day political temperature in this state often forgotten in the worlds bigger headlines.
