Fashion Industry Critic Pam Greet joins Di to talk about her year long project to contain my wardrobe for the year to fifty items of clothing.

Pam’s project was designed to  bring attention to the TRUE COSTS of the fashion industry.  Particularly how women’s self-perception is manipulated by the fashion industry; the environmental burden of the fashion and textile production industries (second only to mining in terms of negative impact on the environment), working conditions for textile workers in many countries, and the financial costs of being enslaved to fashion rather than understanding personal style.

In this episode;

  • A small wardrobe need not be limiting, if anything it is liberating.
  • Choose clothes that suit YOUR STYLE, don’t be a slave to fashion.
  • When purchasing new clothes, make conscious choices that reflect your values, your style and do not be afraid to be BOLD.
  • Second hand shops have awesome clothes at great prices.

Pam says, “the key message is that this is NOT about wearing ‘the hair shirt’.  It is about knowing who you are, being true to your values and doing that with flair and style, at a price that anyone can afford. Smile, Have fun. Enjoy being you.”
