Giving up the single lifestyle is required, she says, because it will allow her to continue to do the work she has done to make a successful future for her son. After leaving home at the early age of 14, “The T-Shirt Lady” relied on herself to survive and depend on herself despite hardships or trauma. “The T-Shirt Lady” came to Atlanta with her son in 2001 from her hometown of Harlem, NY.
