Stop by and meet The T – shirt Lady. She isn’t a typical single mom and she doesn’t preside over the typical stereotypes of single young black mothers. Giving up the single lifestyle is required, she says, because it will allow her to continue to do the work she has done to make a successful future for her son. After leaving home at the early age of 14, “The T-Shirt Lady” relied on herself to survive and depend on herself despite hardships or trauma. “The T-Shirt Lady” came to Atlanta with her son in 2001 from her hometown of Harlem, NY.
