For many children, adults and parents within the cleft and craniofacial community, grief and sadness over their physical anomalies can be a heavy burden to carry around. Add that to whatever life brings along ... from loss of a relationship, friendship or death of a loved one ... and the grief can feel overwhelming. In fact, it could turn into depression, repressed feelings and lead people to harm themselves. On this week's "CleftCast," host Joe Rutland talks about the topic of grief and shares a couple of personal stories that hopefully relate with listeners.
