RTR:Themes, Firstfruits and Fasting: The Churchified New Year

With the beginning of every new year, many churches do these three things: roll out their new themes or slogans for the year, try to convince you to give a monetary “firstfruits" offering, (mostly at "Watch Night" services), and go on a corporate fast. We intend to examine each of these things to see if there is any validity to them. Are they biblical, or just man made traditions?
