  One of the first questions that is often asked of those who have left the church is "why did you leave?" The assumptions and misconceptions are too numerous to count. There are many different reasons people decide to leave the church. We are not talking about just leaving one church for different church, but the church system altogether. Some have been hurt, some abused, some just got sick and tired of church politics and mess, some felt a pull by God to leave, some left to do ministry outside of the building. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone left because they were hurt by the church or rebelling against authority.
