US Justice Department statistics show that 33% of girls and 14% of boys are molested before the age of 18. It is also estimated that only 35% of sexual abuse is actually reported. What could or SHOULD the church do to meet the needs of these people?  Under these statistics, at LEAST a third of churches have been victims of sexual abuse.  Have you ever heard a sermon on protecting your child from sexual predators?  Are sexual topics such a taboo in the church community, that "Hear No Evil/ See No Evil" approach ignores the problem? Where is the outrage? Where is the advocacy? Why do we tolerate sexual predators in the pulpit? Is it easier to ignore that to confront?
