Profile of an Abusive Church - CONTROL

This week we will be discussing how to identify an "Abusive Church".  Today we will be discussing CONTROL.  Borrowing from Dr.  Ronald M. Enroth's book on abusive churches, we will be discussing the warning signs of, "Control-Orientated Leadership", "Manipulation of Members", and "Rigid, Legalistic Lifestyle". Do you need your pastor's permission to apply for jobs? Has your church pressured you into doing something that benefitted them, but hurt you? Are you pressured to attend church every day of the week? If so, you might be attending an Abusive Church.
