#81 The Book of Mormon for Latter day Families 2 Nephi 32:4

I love the scriptures!!!

Nephi shares the writings of Isaiah...2 Memphis 32:4 Wherefore. now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them, it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock, wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark.

Hmmm, this makes it sound like our understanding has quite a bit to do with if we are willing to reach inside ourselves and be a part of what we want to understand. It is sort of like listening, is it not? Unless we care about what is being shared it is not going to be revealed. To desire, to search out, and then to ponder as we seek to apply the teachings in our daily lives. That will allow the Holy Ghost to reveal the meanings of the scriptures. And of all things if we so desire and that desire stems from wanting to do his will.
