I love the scriptures!!! I find myself speaking more than I have in the past of my own thoughts and testimony, but if that is not what the scriptures are for I do not know what they are for.
Nephi speaks of the prophecies of the Messiah and the happenings of his coming. We can find metaphors for our own walk in the gospel even in those things that testify of specific events.
In Doctrine and Covenants Martin Harris is counselled as we all will be when we have that opportunity to take upon us the full discipleship, The Lord cannot ask too much of us.
