Scriptures for the Latter Days 47B 1 Nephi17:36 D&C18:8M5:3

I love the scriptures!!! 1 Nephi 17:36-40 God is mindful of us and as we seek him, he will be there for us and direct us and guide us and remember us. We need to remember our fore-fathers and our posterity in our lives and in our prayers, which will allow the angels of God to help them as the prayers of our fathers have helped us. Doctrine and Covenants 18:18-21 Ask in faith, believing and the Holy Ghost will be with us to show all things that we stand in need of this very day. What a promise! Contend against no church accept the church of the devil. Hmm, I want to understand this phrase. I think it means not to contend with men at all but to realize what we seek as disciples of Christ is to remember God is the creator and giver of all that we have and that we are. I think to stay clear of certain debates and instead live and be a witness by our example of one who knows God is everything and man is nothing as of yet will do more to bless the Earth than confrontation. That does not mean that we do not stand our ground when given that opportunity or when prompted by the Spirit. Thus verse 21 "speak the truth in soberness", not haughty and proud but meekly and solidly. Moses 5:3 Two by two, man and woman, to till the ground and tend the flocks, in other words to work for our survival in the physical sense and for those to come after. Marriage as man and woman is ordained of God and is an institution to be protected anywhere man is, in my opinion. Till next time, bye for now, IJN, amen.
