46B Scriptures for the Latter Days 1Nephi17:23,D&C18:9

I love the Scriptures!!!They are the foundation of my life. They give me courage, hope, and a sure witness of God's love for me and for my fellow man. That gives me confidence and courage to give my all in my life for the building of the kingdom of God. I have no greater hope or desire. Christ is everything to me.

1 Nephi 23-36 Nephi is speaking powerful testimony to his brothers of the the power and redemption of God. Key in this reading is the fact that those who where destroyed were not "less than" in the eyes of God they were simply not a righteous people, testifying that God will have a righteous people and these he will sustain and each of us makes the choice to be of that group or not. And those who reject God will be destroyed. When we share this with others do we do it in love to invite them to life or as we are better than they? It is an important distinction.

Doctrine and Covenants 18:9-17 To Oliver Cowdery called to teach repentance. The worth of souls is great in the sight of God. The soul...the body and spirit of man united...is great in the sight of God...that is worth contemplating and considering what God means by that and how it impacts me and my realationship to myself and to others. 

I record this to share my testimony of the word of God. May it be used as he sees fit. May his will be acknowledged and done in all things. Glory to God in the highest! Amen.
