I love the Scriptures!!! Review:Moses 4:16-17 Once Adam and Eve had partaken of the fruit they had been told not to it appears that one of the first emotions they recognized was fear and another was shame. Are these not two emotions that continue today to threaten and tempt man not to be willing to come before God? Powerful is the idea that John the Baptist would come to Joseph Smith  Jr and Oliver Cowdery to ordain them to the Aaronic priesthood. the priesthood of Aaron, brother of Moses, that of baptism. And to hear the words of Christ spoken through the mouth of Joseph Smith, Jr by the power of the Holy Ghost and priesthood that he holds. He used the metaphor that Paul had spoken of as he admonished the reader or hearer to give attention and heed to his word. The two-edged sword, what does the word of God do for you? Does it bring clarity and affirmative decision to your mind, heart, and actions? In the book of 1 Nephi we read how when challenges come in 592 B.C. as when they come in 2011 A.D. it is easy to look at things quite differently when we are seeking to listen to the Spirit of the Holy Ghost. I take this passage of scripture as a warning not only to stay close to the Spirit but to not take for granted that the Spirit will keep returning if we keep rejecting him. I am so grateful for the scriptures! Till next time, God bless, bye for now.
