I love the scriptures!!! Review: Let's consider the fact that God revealed to a woman, Rachel, the coming of two nations and the relationship that would exist between these two. Just before this reading we have a witness of the closeness of the relationship between Isaac and God and that it was mutually tender and honored. In verse 27 Jacob was called a "plain" man which the Hebrew can mean "whole", "complete", "perfect", "simple", and "plain". The implications are tremendous. The statement in verse 28 suggests that Esau may have been loved for what he "did" whereas Jacob may have been loved for what he "was" or even "is". Can this have something to do with who or how we may want to "be" in life?  In Matthew we read of three parables that Christ gave describing the kingdom of God. Please read them and ponder what he is referring to because I am going to give you simple language to review these words with to help us understand them. Now, that having been said I wish to reiterate the statements I made on this show. Those being that the scriptures are to be read with our whole minds. By this I mean that all experiences or sciences that we have been exposed to are needed to be put into play as we study and ponder the scriptures. I believe that this is necessary if we are to glean from the scriptures those things that will help us grow and develop and understand what we need to know. I am excited to continue our reading and hope you will join me. The scriptures hold gems and jewels for living today. Let us use them the way God intended. Till next time, God's blessings to you and yours, Christa-Ann.
