I love the Scriptures!!! Review: 1 Nephi gave us warnings and precious promises. We found that God knows the wickedness that is upon the earth and that they will not be allowed to forever be about that work among the children of men. We were told how John, the Beloved, an apostle with Christ when he walked as a man on the earth had been ordained to write of the last days and the things that would come before Christ came to reign on earth. This includes the many forms of destruction that would come upon the earth. The promise of records of others who saw and recorded what would happen at the time of the last days is also recorded. Records hidden up and kept by peoples would come forth and testify along with John what will happen. Doctrine and Covenants 10:67-70 showed us what the church of Christ really is. Whosoever repenteth and cometh unto him, verse 67. They are all a part of Christ. I believe this means those who seek virtuous lives even though they do not know his name yet are of his church. I believe he means what he says and we need not claim anyone as outside his "church". I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints has the organization and fullness of the ordinances that must be performed in the flesh for the fulfillment of all righteousness, but the organization seems not to be exclusive as to who is considered the church, at least not by Christ. Moses 4:4 speaks of Satan becoming the father of lies, to deceive and blind men. Those who will not hearken to Christ's voice. Conclusion?? Repentance is vital to our protection in this life and to becoming all that we have the potential to be. Powerful words and instruction here, let us not take it lightly. Till next time, blessings.
