I love the scriptures!!! Review: Don't miss the how and why to read the scriptures that I share as we discuss these most important people! These are our forefathers, whether by blood or adoption, these are the people that were faithful and desired a real relationship with God and a real full and bountiful life for themselves. These are people that we would do well to emulate and follow their  example. Each of these people show us how we can be in our different roles in life and not only how to be as individuals but how to be with others. For example the servant of Abraham did not take care of his own needs first after his days of travel but looked to the business of his master. Is this not a good example of what we should be about in our daily lives? If we are going to live as the Savior would have us do will we not seek his will in all that we do? We saw how Rachel was not the only one who was a gracious servant to others for her brother also treated this man with great courtesy. It may be noted that they perhaps would have recognized him as kinsmen by his dress and manners and perhaps in the ways he traveled...all customs that signify we are known especially in that time. None the less he was gracious with him. I would say that today with all of our hustle and bustle that we have lost much of this in our daily lives, I know I have in mine. I wish to change that and will ask the Lord's guidance and help to do so. In Matthew we just began to read of the Savior's description of the parable of the sower. It being an example of how we receive the gospel and what we must do to have it truly take a proper place in our lives. 1st we must seek to understand, then receive it with joy, and also have a foundation within us of having sought to understand who and what we are. That is what I see when Christ says "root" in vs 21. What do you think? These words are to you from Father in Heaven, he will help you understand if you seek him.
