The Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price are the books that we will be reading from each hour that we meet. Yes, we will be covering a verse, five verses, or a chapter from each of these books. together we will search, ponder, and pray about the meanings and instructions and life lines that we will find that will help us meet the diverse challenges that we face in today's world. This is not going to be a fast read. It will be a reading like I would do at the breakfast table with my children. Not that I would read five different books with them but we did read the Book of Mormon together 5 times in the course of 10 years. You might want a dictionary handy. And feel free to make comments and I will do my best to respond. I would be thrilled to have this grow into a discussion time. Due to the quantity of books we will be looking at many questions may well be answered on a future show. I may even look at the possibility of creating a show that would respond to sincere and reverent questions regarding the materials we will be talking about. I am not a religious scholar in the world's terms. I do not use a lot of other resources. I use the scriptures themselves, the dictionary, as well as the Topical Guide and the Bible Dictionary in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints scriptures. I may be sharing information I have gotten from a class or a casual conversation or from an experience that I or an acquaintance may have had. This program is not to be taken as gospel but rather as "food for thought" with a sort of "what if" attitude, meaning "what if" what the scriptures say is true. I have a personal witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am 54 years of age and have been a member since I was 27. Life has given me lots of lessons and from those resources I hope to share with you my love for the gospel and for you. You are worth it. Bring a prayer. : )
