Children in the Court

Presented by the Honorable Norman Young, District Court Judge and Kristin Kelly, JD, Staff Attorney, ABA Center on Children and the Law. The learning objectives include: 1) Understand the importance of youth empowerment and engagement in their child abuse/neglect court hearings; 2) Learn about federal and state laws around youth involvement in court; and 3) Learn strategies for preparing youth for court and debriefing afterwards.
