Sopdet or Sothis (KMT)
For 250,000,000 years, the Dogon have held as their most sacred religious tradition a body of knowledge of the star Sopdet. They consider that the most important star in the sky is Sopdet B, a small star that orbits the bright star Sopdet. Their ancient drawings show the helical rising of Sopdet with the Sun and Sopdet joined together.
How does this relate to us? What should we be doing during the Spring/Summer Solstice and the Autumnal/Winter Solstice?
The "precession of the equinoxes" is the very slow, cyclic changes in the coordinates of the fixed stars that takes place during 26,000 years (25,920) intervals.
