Giving Back and Training the Next Workforce -- It is no secret the rapid growth of the I-75 corridor is incredibly promising for our region, and the businesses and residents which proudly call the area home. This expansion gives rise to new businesses establishing roots in our zip codes, familiar companies taking the opportunity to expand and sustain their community ties, and encourage those working along I-75 to play and live the region as well. As the Chamber’s mission clearly states, the Chamber, and its local member’s common goal is to “… establish West Chester and Liberty Township as our region’s business epicenter.” Clearly, we are well on our way to reaching this lofty goal, but without a qualified workforce sustaining this ambitious sentiment will be nearly impossible. Additionally, attracting and keeping our home grown talent will be nothing more than a scribble on a to-do list. Erik Andryszak, Associate Campus Director for Antonelli College – West Chester, will address this retention of young talent by focusing on the actions businesses, large and small, can take to cultivate relationships with potential entry level employees while they are still learning their craft at any of our local colleges and universities.   Did you know, within the West Chester Township alone, traditional and non-traditional students alike have five options for higher education?Additionally, Andryszak will discuss the advantages of campus involvement as a business owner including opening your businesses’ doors to intern candidates, mentoring undergraduates, working with instructors on class projects and more.
