I really enjoy Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel. She is the best and most well known host on that channel. She reminds me of Sarah Purcell, who had a similar personality when she was a host on NBC-TV's "Real People" series, which aired thirty years ago. I remember Sarah did parachute jumps and other physically adventurous things, then would end her segment with "but it was a lot of fun!"
