We all know about the dangers of second-hand smoke. We've heard about those for years. But second-hand stress? Does that mean you can actually "catch" someone else's stress? Believe it or not, studies have shown that the answer is yes, and its effects can range from just being annoying all the way to devastating.

Think for a moment. Have you been in the vicinity when a couple were arguing, say, at a restaurant? Did that make you uncomfortable? What about family events? Those are high on the list for creating stress in and of themselves. But what about when famly members get into a heated discussion, someone gets mad, maybe somebody leaves? Everyone else is left standing around looking uncomfortably at each other.

Second-hand stress can do more damage than you know - and today we're going to talk about it. Join Teresa Beeman as she discusses 9 Steps to Recognize and Avoid Second-Hand Stress.

This show airs every Monday and Wednesday at 11:00 am Eastern time and is brought to you by the Center for Empowered Women where you can find tips, idea and programs to help you become more Empowered and productive in working toward your dreams.
