Essential Oils for Metabolism and Weight Loss

De. A. R. Hirsch scientifically studied "Weight Loss Reduction Through Inhalation of Odorants"  and concluded  that specific scents are effective in promoting weight loss such as scents of green apple, banana and peppermint.  Dr. Hirsch wrote a book subsequent to the study that covers the benefit of using herbs for cooking as an intervention in facilitating weight loss such as basil, peppermint, spearmint, thyme, rosemary, pink grapefruit, lime and orange. The same effect can be had by smelling the essential oils. The methodology in using these essential oils as an intervention for weight management is to inhale the aroma right off of the bottle itself. According to Dr. Hirsch you must inhale it directly but not with both nostrils. You need to close one other nostril while doing this. It is advised to take three slow and deep breaths. After this is done, take a short break and then repeat the same procedure for the 2nd time. Repeat at least three times per day. Whenever you feel the craving for food you can just repeat the procedure as needed. Use up to three kinds of essential oils per day. Variety is important to understand that your body will want to be sated with different types of food material.
