2015 was a landmark year for the Canadian charitable sector. The Canadian Revenue Agency, released its annual report citing more than 86,000 registered charities, $15.7 billion in donations, and $3.2 billion spent on activities abroad. While the number of registered charities has remained relatively unchanged in recent years, Canada’s charities continue to expand their activities and donors’ interests continue to evolve.
