Rose Slaughter is a registered nurse, electrologist and other duties as Faith Community Nurse (FCN) Wholistic nurse and wellness coach. The owner of Preferred Medi-Spa, which is a medical day spa. They offer aesthetic and wellness services including Auricular Acupuncture. Rose has contributed to the nursing practice through education, research, and literature. As a licensed Electrologist/ instructor she has trained others with this unique skill. She served a two term appointment (by then Governor Sunquist) as chairperson of the State Board of Electrologist Examiners Throughout her journey she has combined her skills and developed a great practice of helping those in the community. She speaks to those in the community as she assist in steering programs in her church and community regarding health and wellness. Kimberly Staten-Smith is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of experience in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Methodist Healthcare in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition, she has served as charge nurse, unit council member, and a mentor to incoming nurses. Eager to show compassion for others and share her medical knowledge, she serves as team member with the health awareness ministry and emergency response team at Brown Baptist Church. In 2014, she became a faith community nurse and congregational health promoter. In 2015, she was trained in Auricular acupuncture. In helping promote healthy living and wellness, Kim conducts healthy living classes bi-weekly at her business Preferred Medi-Spa. Cora Gant-Young is a registered nurse with experience that spans 4 decades. She has experience in areas such as intensive care, intravenous therapy, long term care, and health and wellness promotion. She is a certified nurse case management and faith community nurse. In addition she has experience as a wellness coach.
