Wus good Fam! on this episode of Musick Monday we welcome Special Guest Memphis Rapper "Skool Boy" aka "@SB_Surfs Up" who is set to become the next big thing from the South. Skool Boy’s back-to-basics approach using thoughtful subject matter over head-banging beats have launched him into the national spotlight. Hailing from Memphis, TN, Skool Boy recognized his love for music at age 14. After losing a baseball tournament, the young artist took to freestyling as a coping mechanism to release tension. It was the beginning of a new passion for creating music. Known for being wise beyond his years, with an outgoing personality to match, Skool Boy became an instant favorite among his peers. He began street event promotions for Money by Da Pound during his high school years. He later garnered the attention of Hunter Promotions. As a street team promoter for the company, Skool Boy experienced his first taste of fame, rubbing shoulders with artists like Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, Plies, Soulja Boy, Franchise Boyz and Roscoe Dash. Hunter Promotions later helped Skool Boy release his first song titled “Ride Swerve” at age 18.
