Margaret Aspin was working in training in the government and felt a call of God to establish her own business with a heart for business as mission.

During this interview Margaret shares her story of establishing the Aspin Group and the type of training business that she has been able to establish.  We talk through what does Business as Mission means for her.  The fact that business is a journey and what she has learned along the way on this journey.  Particularly the tension between the gifts and abilities that God has given you and relying on God.

A key Margaret believes is to hand your business right from the start over to God, so that when the tough things come, you know how God does want to run your business.

As a women, a CEO and a Christian Margaret also shares what she has learned, not to compete with the boys, that it does feel lonely at times and not to mother your staff!  Keys are to spend time with both male and female CEO's, looking at what are the characteristics that God has given you and to work with those and develop those strengths and giftings in yourself and the strengths and giftings in others.  Having good strong coaches and mentors is key for women and something that is not focused on enough.

Finally Margaret shares how you cope with change and the fact that change fatigue can set in. For Margaret, the first task of every day is to wake up and do her Bible study on a daily basis.  If change is weary her a lot, she stays in the word until she has worked it through with him at the start of the day.  It sets the tone for the day.
