SDG 237 The Parables of Jesus 7 Dragnet

Matthew 13:47-51

This is the last of seven messages on the strange mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven.

We call them mysteries because Jesus called them mysteries. And for this last one picture a dragnet, do you remember that show titled Dragnet, where Sergeant Joe Friday would say, “Just the facts, ma’am.”?

Maybe you’ve caught it on the reruns or you’ve seen the movie with Dan Aykroyd.

Well Sergeant Friday was dragging his dragnet through the streets of Los Angeles to catch the wicked.

Likewise God has His dragnet going through the nations of this world to win souls, but He scoops up the wicked along with them.
